Marcos has over twenty years of residential and commercial pest control experience. In 2008, he became the first bed bug inspector in western Canada to deploy a sniffer dog to detect bed bugs.
Spot On K9 Detection were established in 2021 after he saw a growing number of pest control companies employ freelance K9 bed bug services throughout Greater Vancouver. He recognized a growing demand for such services, but that few companies offer a dedicated K9 solution; the only detection method which guarantees bed bug presence.
ROBBIN PONTON
GENERAL MANAGER
If Marcos is the dog-whisperer, Robbin is the one who brings structure, order, and best business practice to our small tightly knit operation. Robbin manages all aspects of the business from bookings, finance, marketing, and everything else besides.

She is also an animal-lover, having owned dogs for years and worked in veterinary practices too. Happily, her love of all animals ends with bed bugs.

Meet Rio, our amazingly talented German Shepherd. Rio is six years old and loves nothing more than hanging out with her bestie Marcos.
Bed bugs are a serious problem and need to be treated as such. Fortunately, Rio possesses the most acute sensory glands which have been trained to sniff out the presence of a single bed bug.
Rio has a nose for bed bugs and bed bugs alone, no other critter interests her. If bed bugs are present, she WILL sniff them out and let Marcos know the precise location.

Meet our latest recruit Santo. Santo is a black working breed German Shepherd, born on December 28th 2022.

Santo will enroll on the Spot On K9 Detection bed bug inspection programme in May 2023 and it is expected that he will graduate late 2024.

Rio is delighted to have a new pupil and brother to play with and terrorize bed bugs across the Lower Mainland.
